What a great photo. It screams Elliot Erwitt! I love the
off-moment and how her smile almost mimics that of her dog. Everything
about this photo is classic. I’m willing to bet money she paints
her eyebrows on every morning with makeup. Nice seeing.

A cliché photo for sure, but that’s what makes it so great. I
have seen this done before, but never this good. Their faces are
what make this photo. It’s so stiff and weird. The lighting
is just right and the fact that the pitch fork is old is a very nice
touch. Grant Wood would be impressed!

This is also a very nice moment. I love how gingerly the top hand
is placed on her head. I think the toning is a bit off for me
and might be one of the reasons it fell to third. But that aside,
the composition is nice and the photo is sweet.

Really beautiful light. I dig the sepia tone on it too. The
spill onto the columns is a nice touch. Sports portraits can often
become mundane and uninteresting, but they don’t have to. I think
you took some great light and made a very nice portrait with it, just
like you were supposed to. Nice work.
